Conran
Oil created a new online home for British design institution, Conran Group, working closely alongside the Conran Group’s digital consultancy to deliver a web presence that built awareness of their five core disciplines. The site featured exclusive video content and interviews with senior team members, reflecting the breadth of Conran's expertise and further strengthening its profile as a source of knowledge on design in all its guises.
As part of its strategy, Oil produced a series of short films narrated by Stephen Bayley, design critic and journalist (architecture and design correspondent at The Observer; contributing editor at GQ), which involved interviews with the senior team members from each of Conran’s specialisms. The films focused on the nature of design, where innovation and inspiration comes from, how design fits in with quality of life, and the way in which it plays a part in sustainability and consumerism. In keeping with the ethos of the site as a knowledge resource, Oil integrated the capability for users to share the films via Twitter, Facebook and email.
